Job Description:

Bidsquare is seeking a dynamic and experienced Marketing Director to primarily lead our B2C marketplace efforts for Bidsquare.com. This role requires a strategic thinker with a proven track record in both B2B and B2C marketing. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of marketing principles and the ability to apply them to plan and execute effective marketing strategies targeting auction houses. The candidate will also possess a strong understanding of the dynamics of a 2-sided marketplaces as this role will focus on our marketplace business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive B2B digital marketing strategies for Bidsquare Cloud.
  • Drive lead generation and customer acquisition through targeted marketing campaigns.
  • Oversee the creation and execution of content marketing, email campaigns, social media strategies, and other digital marketing efforts.
  • Solid understanding of product, UX, and marketing and how user experience can drive user engagement and sales.
  • Analyze market trends, customer needs, and competitor activities to inform marketing strategies.
  • Manage the marketing budget and allocate resources effectively to maximize ROI.
  • Measure and report on the performance of marketing campaigns, using data to refine strategies and improve outcomes.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key internal stakeholders.
  • Lead and mentor a small marketing team, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Art History, or a related field.
  • 6+ years of B2C digital marketing experience, preferably for a marketplace business.
  • Incredibly data-driven, with strong strategic thinking and analytical skills.
  • Strong proficiency in using data analytics and marketing metrics to drive decision-making and measure campaign effectiveness.
  • Proven experience and deep understanding of digital marketing channels including email marketing, SEM/PPC, SEO, social media, and content marketing.
  • Experience with marketing automation platforms such as HubSpot, Marketo, or Pardot.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple campaigns simultaneously.
  • Familiarity with A/B testing and other performance testing methods to improve conversion rates.
  • Ability to develop compelling value propositions and messaging that resonate with target audiences.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong leadership skills to mentor and develop a small marketing team.
  • Knowledge of fine art or collectibles is a major plus.

As a Software Sales Director, you will be responsible for developing and implementing sales strategies and building strong relationships with clients. You will work closely with the marketing and product development teams to ensure that our software solutions meet the needs of our customers. Your role will involve identifying new business opportunities, negotiating contracts, and closing deals. You will also be responsible for analyzing market trends, monitoring competitor activities, and providing regular sales reports to senior management. The successful candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, a deep understanding of the software industry, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, results-driven environment. As a Sales Director at Bidsquare, you will play a pivotal role in the growth of software sales, Bidsquare Cloud by phone, online or in person. As a Bidsquare Cloud Sales Director you must understand the software you sell, including key features and product specifications and features to have the knowledge base necessary to pitch, sell and close deals.

Responsibilities:

Develop and implement effective sales strategies focusing primarily on outbound sales outreach

  • Build Pipeline: Actively Identify new business opportunities, generate and reach out to new leads
  • Product Knowledge: Have a deep expertise in the software’s features, benefits, and market position
  • Closing Sales: Be able to effectively communicate Bidsquare Cloud’s value proposition, evangelize its benefits, negotiate contracts and close deals effectively
  • Client Needs Assessment: Understand the customer’s pain points and tailor solutions to their needs
  • Relationship Building: Build trust and long-term relationships with clients
  • Post-Sales Support: Ensure a smooth onboarding by ensuring a smooth transition with the onboarding team
  • Sales Reporting: Track performance metrics and sales data
  • Staying Updated: Keep up with industry trends and competitors
  • Identify new business opportunities and generate leads
  • Conduct sales training and coaching sessions
  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of our software solutions

Qualifications

  • 6+ years of experience in a SaaS sales role focusing on outbound sales with a track record of exceeding sales targets
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Marketing or a related field.
  • Proven track record exceeding expectations in software sales
  • Strong technical background specifically within CRM platforms such as Hubspot
  • Basic understanding of ecommerce and digital marketing channels including social media, product marketing, content marketing, and email marketing.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Knowledge of fine art, antiques, and collectibles a plus but not required
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Art History, Marketing, Journalism, Communications, or a related field.
  • 4+ years of experience in content marketing or a similar role.
  • Proven track record in driving traffic, engagement for B2C and inbound leads and optimizing funnel metrics and conversion rates for B2B business
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to drive strategy and results
  • Strong writing and editing skills.
  • Knowledge of SEO, growth marketing, social media strategies
  • Deep understanding of digital marketing channels including social media, product marketing, content marketing, and email marketing.
  • Experience with content management systems (CMS), Hubspot, Latr and other marketing tools
  • Ability to develop compelling value propositions and messaging that resonate with target audiences.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Knowledge of fine art, antiques, and collectibles
